commit 8964b41c7b88bb1acc7bb9811ca8cb4938c7a410
Author: Neil Conway <neilc@samurai.com>
Date: Wed Nov 08 00:45:30 2006 +0000
First released in: 8.2.0

established: referencing an undefined parameter should result in an
error, not NULL.
