Hi, My name is Masakazu Miura, belongs to Institute of JUSE(Japanese
Union for Scientists and Engineers). 

I am challenging the installation of postgres-v4r2 on DEC3800AXP (DEC
OSF/1 v2.0). Locale is Japanese(ja_JP.deckanji).

Compiling is finished with no errors. But, "initdb" command don't work
normally. The messages:

        syntax error 1 : syntax error   syntax error 1 : syntax error
syntax error 1 : syntax error   syntax error 2 : syntax error   syntax
error 3 : syntax error   syntax error 3 : syntax error   syntax error
3 : syntax error   syntax error 3 : syntax error   syntax error 4 :
syntax error   syntax error 4 : syntax error   syntax error 4 : syntax
error  ....... 

are repeated. I set environmental variable YACC to 'bison -y' and with
recompiling, I get next several messages: 

/usr/local/postgres/bin/initdb: 8042 Memory fault
initdb: could not create template database
initdb: cleaning up.

We can not use postgres.

Anybody help !
