Hello Team,

Anyone can suggest all the steps and prerequisites to enable ssl in
postgres.
We have a .pem and .key file for the Postgres server. Will it be useful
here?

Thanks,

Set ssl = on, save your .pem and .key files where the lines following
the "ssl = on" line expects them
or set the paths to these files.

On Debian or Ubuntu SSL is configured right from the start. In other
distributions or Windows, it's your own responsibility to set it up as
described.

In that case you need to recompile with --with-openssl.

Thanks Tom,
If I do the "openssl version" , it looks like it is already installed.

$ openssl version
OpenSSL 1.0.2k-fips 26 Jan 2017

Uh, that means you have OpenSSL installed on the server, not that
Postgres is built to support SSL.

Compile PostgreSQL source with openssl option.

Hi Ganesh,

I have tried to compile it but no success.

sudo ./configure --prefix= /opt/PostgreSQL-10/bin --with-openssl
--with-includes=/opt/PostgreSQL-10/include/openssl
--with-libraries=/opt/PostgreSQL-10/lib

Could you please suggest how we can achieve it.
