I have joined these two groups with longterm hopes of taking part in these
two on VMS platform as well.

I have been learning for sometime now and I would like to propose some
ideas hoping to get some review and feedback on these ideas.

Since PostgreSQl is not anywhere close to MSSql & Oracle I hope these two
or three proposals will be first step in pgsql advocacy increasing it's
usage.

PostgreSql is a highly capable product but it might be good to have some
large implementations as well as some small implementations and probably
for small implementation we could

These are result of my project Boating Grid - which has had not much
progress due to funding ( primarily in terms of using a boat to get the
specs and testing right) and lack
of investor support.

Probably some of the features can be taken up by pgAdmin contributors if
they find it worthwhile ( and also due to their much matured supporting
abilities).

I was a contractor with Ask Computer Systems which was developing Ingres at
that time and was part of the internal mailing lists etc and I hope that
explains this suggestion
where people might see a lack of experience but as first step is only
review and feedback
I hope this will be taken with some seriousness.

I have worked for 9 years in Ingres Tech Support & Dba and around 15 years
in Oracle mostly as an Apps DBA.
