# What is Pgpool-II?

Pgpool-II is a tool to add useful features to PostgreSQL, including:  

* connection pooling
* load balancing

# Minor releases

Pgpool Global Development Group is pleased to announce the availability of following versions of Pgpool-II: 

* 4.4.5
* 4.3.8
* 4.2.15
* 4.1.18
* 4.0.25

Please note that 4.0.25 is the last release of the 4.0.x series.
