Message-ID: <[email protected]> (raw)
IVM Development Group is pleased to announce the release of [pg_ivm 1.11]( https://github.com/sraoss/pg_ivm/releases/tag/v1.11 ).
Changes since the v1.10 release include:
### Bug Fixes
* Fix maintenance failure with columns whose names include capital letter (Yugo Nagata)
This bug was introduced in the previous release (v1.10). When a table has a column with
a capital letter in its name, incremental view maintenance failed because the column name
was parsed as lowercase.
* Fix build failures on Windows environments (Yuta MASANO)
Previously, the lack of PGDLLEXPORT on some functions declarations caused linkage when
building with MSVC.
* Fix potential segmentation fault in create_immv (Yugo Nagata)
A code issue caused a segmentation fault when building with MSVC, although the problem
was not observed on Linux.
### About pg_ivm
pg_ivm is an extension module that provides Incremental View Maintenance (IVM) feature.
Incremental View Maintenance (IVM) is a way to make materialized views up-to-date in
which only incremental changes are computed and applied on views rather than recomputing.
pg_ivm provides a kind of immediate maintenance, in which materialized views are updated
immediately after a base table is modified.
