# What is Pgpool-II?

Pgpool-II is a tool to add useful features to PostgreSQL, including:  

* connection pooling
* load balancing

# Minor releases

Pgpool Global Development Group is pleased to announce the availability of following versions of Pgpool-II: 

* 4.6.4
* 4.5.9
* 4.4.14
* 4.3.17
* 4.2.24

Please note that 4.2.24 is the last release of the 4.2.x series.
