As of February 2026, the [PostgreSQL Community Association](https://www.pos=
tgres.ca) (PGCA), the [official non-profit organization](https://www.postgr=
es.ca) chartered by the [PostgreSQL Core Team](https://www.postgresql.org/d=
eveloper/core/) in 2011 to protect the Postgres brand assets, has updated i=
ts sponsorship levels and sponsorship prospectus.=20

## Updated PGCA sponsorship levels

The [PGCA Board](https://www.postgres.ca/about/pgca/) would not be able to =
protect the PostgreSQL trademarks and brand assets without the [generous fi=
nancial support](https://www.postgres.ca/donate/) we receive from corporati=
ons, small businesses, and individual donors. We are deeply grateful for th=
at support.

After reviewing sponsorship models used by other open source foundations, a=
nd in light of the increasing costs required to protect the PostgreSQL bran=
d assets, we have increased the top two [sponsorship levels](https://www.po=
stgres.ca/sponsors/#sponsorship-levels): Benefactor and Patron, effective F=
ebruary 1, 2026. All other sponsorship levels remain unchanged. As always, =
we welcome and value donations at all levels, in any amount.=20

## Significant update to the PGCA non-profit website

We=E2=80=99ve also made a significant update to the [PGCA website](https://=
www.postgres.ca), to modernize it and bring it forward to the present. We h=
ope the new site makes it easier to understand the PGCA=E2=80=99s non-profi=
t mission, learn how to use PostgreSQL trademarks appropriately, and [donat=
e](https://www.postgres.ca/donate/), whether as a one-time or monthly contr=
ibution.=20
