Since the subject title mentioned JSON_VALUE.
SELECT JSON_VALUE(((select NULL where false)), '$');
SELECT JSON_QUERY(((select NULL where false)), '$');
SELECT JSON_EXISTS(((select NULL where false)), '$');
Should the above produce []?
