The following documentation comment has been logged on the website:

Description:
I was able to create a db (mydb) but when I use any of the test SELECT
statements, nothing happens. Here is the terminal output when trying your
tutorial.
mydb=# SELECT version()
mydb-# SELECT current_date
mydb-# SELECT 2 + 2
mydb-# \q

You forgot the semicolons at the end of each line. The tutorial does
contain those.
