Doc about psql (https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/app-psql.html) doesn't mention `\! clear` And finally, whatever works after \! is not PostgreSQL fault/feature - what is afterwards is simply passed as command to the operating system. So, if your OS has "cls" command, you can \! cls. If it doesn't then you have to use something else. Best regards, depesz
