Just a wild guess. Assuming <schema> is the same, what is the output of:

SELECT
     relname,
     relnamespace,
     relpersistence
FROM
     pg_class
WHERE
     relname IN ('<sequence1>', '<sequence2> ')
     AND relnamespace = '<schema>'::regnamespace;
