The pg database is on a remote server, accessed across the internet. I am new to this ODBC stuff, but the past few months have been using psql and php3 interfaces (both local access) to 6.5.3 database. Anyway, I created a datasource in ODBC, but when I try to use it with pgAdmin (either version), I get: Error 3706, ADO could not find the specified provider. function: frmODBClogon, cmdOK_Click. If I try to link to the same source with Access'97; I get this: ODBC--call failed. IDENT authentication failed for user 'gwacl' (#210). Are these both the same problem? Frank PS: The start-menu shortcut's created by pgAdmin install don't point to anything!
