The problem is that the crypt function wasn't built into the libpgtcl.so library by default in early releases of Postgresql 6.4.x. To solve this, get the source code for postgresql. ./configure --with-tcl Go into the src/interfaces/libpgtcl directory edit the makefile go to the SHLIB_LINK line and add -lcrypt to the end of it. make and make install, but only in the libpgtcl directory. you can then run pgaccess. Now, if I could just figure out how to use pgaccess.... -- -David Rugge http://www.mindspring.com/~davidrugge/index.html
