Hi,
I am using the JDBC interface. Does anybody know what
could lead to the following two errors I ran into -
1. Cannot handle multiple result groups.
at
org.postgresql.Connection.ExecSQL(Connection.java,
Compiled Code)
at
org.postgresql.jdbc2.Statement.execute(Statement.java,
Compiled Code)
at
org.postgresql.jdbc2.Statement.executeQuery(Statement.java,
Compiled Code)
at
org.postgresql.jdbc2.PreparedStatement.executeQuery(PreparedStatement.java,
Compiled Code)
This seems to have been followed by a whole lot of
occurences of -
2. Unknown Response Type ^@

I normally do not see this happen, and do not know
if I can replicate this error reliably. Any
information
regarding the meaning/cause of this error and whether
there is a way to get around it/avoid it, would be
really helpful.
Thanks,
Rini

Looks like the protocol is getting messed up.

What versions are you using?
PS: Sorry if I've replied before, this seems to be a repost?

I am using postgresql 7.0.2 . This is the first time I
ran into this error. It seemed to me like
whatever(???) triggered the error 'Cannot handle
multiple result groups' messed up all queries which
followed on the same JDBC Connection (I kept getting
'Unknown Response Type').
Btw, this was on NT, if that matters.
Rini
ps : Thanks for replying. Actually I did repost this
on other mailing lists since I did not receive any
replies from the JDBC mailing list.
