Dynacom Tankers belongs to the 2-4nd largest shipowining companies in Greece, among the top 10 in the world. 





This is a position within Dynacom Tankers Mgmt - IT Dept. 

Our team consists of experienced administrators and engineers who constantly deliver state of the art products and services to the company's departments, subsidiaries and vessels. 

The candidate will be responsible for the design, testing, implementation, integration and maintenance of the company's software. 




Responsibilities 

    * Maintain databases and DB code (PgSQL) 
    * Automate processes, design of new systems 
    * Study, test new releases work with the dev team to plan and execute upgrades 





Qualifications 

    * At least 2 years of professional experience using PostgreSQL on Linux 
    * Experience with PL/pgSQL, DB design 
    * Experience with Linux environment 
    * Experience with troubleshooting, query analysis, performance tuning, etc 
    * Will to learn new tools, architectures, languages 
    * Plan upgrades based on company’s requirements 
    * Able to solve old problems using new PostgreSQL features (e.g. partitioning) 
    * Logical and physical replication 
    * postgresql various backup strategies (pg_dump, PITR, pgbackrest, pgbarman, etc) 

Good to have: 


    * Experience in Oracle migrations 
    * Experience with Java SE, Java EE, wildfly 10+ 
    * Experience with Ansible, containerization 
    * Some MS-SQL experience 
    * Git, C, Perl, Java, Python 

The job is in Glyfada, Greece. There is an option for some days/week remote work after the initial onboarding.
