Cofense is looking for a Senior Data Engineer for immediate consideration ! Cofense Data Engineer will be responsible for owning our database systems to meet product requirements for availability, performance, security, and reliability. This is a full-time, salaried, permanent position with Cofense offering full benefits, 401K, Stock options, flexible paid time off.

Required Skills:

  *   Recent hands-on experience using PostgreSQL. Strong experience with 3 or more of MySQL / MariaDB, AWS Aurora, AWS RDS, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, AWS DMS
  *   Production experience with AWS and Linux environments.
  *   Proficient in at least one of Java, Python or Scala
  *   Familiarity and comfort with distributed systems
  *   Comfortable with complex SQL
  *   Familiar with the Data Lifecycle and concepts such as lineage, governance, privacy, retention, anonymity, etc.
  *   Engineering of data pipelines using technologies like Hive, Presto, Druid, Spark, etc...
  *   Ability to troubleshoot database performance issues in a production environment

Optional Skills:

  *   Experience managing infrastructure with code using tools like Terraform

Location:

  *   100% Remote within U.S. (any U.S. Timezone is good for us) Cofense has a strong remote work culture.
  *   No travelling required.
