Subject: Data manager/DB architect for biodiversity data / Paris or Brunoy, France
Date: Mon, 30 May 2022 16:10:00 +0200
Message-ID: <[email protected]> (raw)

The French biodiversity agency (OFB) is looking for a data manager/DB architect
to connect the different data stemming from the French biodiversity monitoring
programs. There is limited harmonization between monitoring protocols, which
offer data products (mostly spatial data and temporal series) under a variety of
formats, corresponding to raw observation data, synthetic data and indicator
data. The main mission of the architect will be to design, build and test a
centralized platform to host synthetic data.

Specifically, the following points will be instrumental in the success of the
architect's mission:
- Identify the different synthetic data types from existing information systems
(SINP, SIB, PNDB);
- Compare and evaluate available tools to manage and visualize these data;
- Propose and implement solutions

Knowledge of French is a plus, but not mandatory. General knowledge in ecology
and conservation will be a secondary asset.

This position is funded until 30 September 2023 and will be located in Paris
(75) or Brunoy (91). Up to 2 days of telework allowed per week. Compensation
adjusted based on professional experience; monthly salary between 2 051 € and 2
994 €.
