You=20 could use the plpgsql function language and create a function that tests fo= r the=20 existence of the file and drop it if it does.

Something like this:

You'll need something like an ordering column that represents the ordering and is unique. Then you can probably do something like (untested): select sno, value, (select sum(value) as sum from temp t where t.ordering <= temp.ordering) from temp order by ordering; or select t1.sno, t1.value, sum(t2.value) from temp as t1, temp as t2 where t1.ordering >= t2.ordering group by t1.ordering, t1.sno, t1.value order by t1.ordering; From sajiv_smrt83@yahoo.co.in Wed Apr 25 04:47:27 2007 Received: from localhost (maia-4.hub.org [200.46.204.183]) by postgresql.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DA36E9FB5D1 for ; Wed, 25 Apr 2007 01:47:27 -0300 (ADT) Received: from postgresql.org ([200.46.204.71]) by localhost (mx1.hub.org [200.46.204.183]) (amavisd-maia, port 10024) with ESMTP id 56835-04 for ; Wed, 25 Apr 2007 01:47:23 -0300 (ADT) X-Greylist: delayed 00:06:39.619862 by SQLgrey-1.7.4 Received: from web8408.mail.in.yahoo.com (web8408.mail.in.yahoo.com [202.43.219.156]) by postgresql.org (Postfix) with SMTP id C2CC09FB5B5 for ; Wed, 25 Apr 2007 01:47:22 -0300 (ADT) Received: (qmail 77776 invoked by uid 60001); 25 Apr 2007 04:40:40 -0000 DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=s1024; d=yahoo.co.in; h=X-YMail-OSG:Received:X-Mailer:Date:From:Subject:To:MIME-Version:Content-Type:Message-ID; b=VQdNlRwYWp7lqyWwlur4FvarIcgAHDIHQxb9V+JqnIveks6Vk8LRShJTf6Tvnzd0mnBDg+r3Ozw0tzQmH7CoUxdr8aecAPA9yYHTETtIY+kpPB/GN5InKtFn9gZHwVRbGZWDf9WYdeKIL/cLFbAS0GA8IGxaORDV7FlDGfFWf3Q=; X-YMail-OSG: kbkT_hMVM1kxH4xKs1ZLJBiMzOvU86bWa5IiKrd6KOK2Pm5NCkwqtzBLj5iMTAFBOVfY6r4xBCQTavK2u9VcOz2BuUxju7VB9_QUMvOCOiuZy815W2YutUA75DNY4A-- Received: from [203.199.32.209] by web8408.mail.in.yahoo.com via HTTP; Wed, 25 Apr 2007 10:10:40 IST X-Mailer: YahooMailRC/478 YahooMailWebService/0.7.41.10 Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2007 10:10:40 +0530 (IST) From: saji varghese Subject: Re: hi To: pgsql-sql@postgresql.org, Jim.Wilkinson@cra-arc.gc.ca, "Penchalaiah P." Placing "confidential" on every document without regard for its content, especially when some of it's publicly disseminated, can remove the protection of confidentiality at law from all such marked documents in many jurisdictions, including the U.S. There must be discrimination applied in the marking of information as "confidential". Quite aside from the foolishness you pointed out of marking something "confidential" then placing it into the public eye in an archived forum where it will be visible by everybody forever.
