I think discussin= g together possible approaches and proposing new speakers would be great to i= nclude people.=20 The idea was something like a HitchHiking Guide for open-minded in Tech. The= talk would aim to give some advice to handle situations like (quoting Laeti= tia here): - how to react against an offensive "joke" - how to answer when you're told you've been selected to talk only because y= ou belong to a minority - how to react when you encountered unwanted sexual propositions - what to do when you face discrimination - how to handle questions that may be interpreted as offensive while talking= about professional aspects And then some advice for supporting people when you're from a majority: - don't say "not me" (and why) - listen - help them fight the impostor syndrome - speak up when a "joke" is made This would be aimed at speakers, room hosts (which sometime have to moderate= pretty rough discussions) and in general to all members of the community.=20= Furthermore, it would also be highly beneficial that other people from minor= ities stepped up and proposed a talk - either technical or about diversity i= n the community, or participated to this one.=20 I think the input of all Postgres Women would be helpful and useful here, th= erefore do feel free to give a feedback on this and express your thoughts/id= ea! Also, if you want to submit a talk and are unsure or need guidance, plea= se do speak up, the community is ready to help.=20 Looking forward to hear your thoughts! Ilaria
