Both are 64-bit. 

What versions of zlib should be used?

My JVM has:
panoramix:/usr/lib/j2sdk1.5-sun/jre/lib/amd64# strings libzip.so | fgrep
Copyright

 inflate 1.1.3 Copyright 1995-1998 Mark Adler
