Hi to all,
i'm trying to install PLJAVA but i get this error message:
psql:/usr/local/pljava/install.sql:6: ERROR: could not load library
"/usr/local/pljava/pljava.so": /usr/local/pljava/pljava.so: undefined
symbol: SetUserIdAndContext.
I got postresql 8.2.4 and i'm triyng with this Pljava package:
pljava-i686-pc-linux-gnu-pg8.2-1.4.0.
Thi is my LD_LIBRARY_PATH:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386:/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/client:/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/native_threads:/usr/local/pgsql/lib
I followed installation guide for postgresql.conf configuration.
So i don't know where the problem is :-( ,

This package is for 8.2.6+ only, see the notes here:

Hi Kris,
Thank you for ansewring so fast.
Before using that version i tried version for 8.1.11+
but i had the same ERROR :-( .
I paste again my LD_LIBRARY_PATH:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386:/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/client:/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_06/jre/lib/i386/native_threads:/usr/local/pgsql/lib.
I think i followed every step in installation guide...but i made
something wrong
Do you think it's better to download and compile sources?

Right now there is no binary package that will work for 8.2.4 so you will
need to build it yourself or upgrade your server to 8.2.6. 8.1.11+ is
only for the 8.1 series meaning that it should also work for 8.1.12 when
that is released.
