I make use of pljava heavily for my research project and am interested some of your ideas for further development, particularly the security infrastructure. ?I have a few ideas on how things could be handled and would be happy to help in the development of this part when you get to it. I am interested in packaging this up for use in gentoo linux and cannot use a cvs snapshot. Not really.? There are quite a few things I'd like to do before releasing a Java 6 version on the unsuspecting world.? In no particular order: o Implement the java.sql.SQLXML datatype as a thin layer to PostgreSQL's native XML type.? Possibly implementing StAX directly on top of libxml2. o Clean up unsupported exceptions. o Review/rework the security infrastructure. o Implement methods that aren't supposed to throw unsupported exception when possible. o Clean up some whitespace/coding conventions in the current JDBC 4 stubs. In the mean time, will an "experimental" release help? --? Johann Oskarsson? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? http://www.2ndquadrant.com/? ? |[] ?
