Hi, Jim. I'm writing to you because you're one of the organizers of the Austin PostgreSQL User Group. I work for Amazon Web Services, which just added PostgreSQL to the selection of databases available through Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS). We're having a webinar to give people in the community an opportunity to hear about what we're doing with PostgreSQL and to ask questions of the product managers.

I would like to humbly ask you to consider forwarding an invitation to the webinar to your members, or, even if you'd prefer not to, join in yourself. It takes place on December 5 at 1 p.m. Central time. The invite is below; feel free to contact me with questions.

Best regards,
Brian Rice
Product Marketing Manager, Amazon RDS

Date: December 5, 2013
Time: 11 a.m. Pacific/noon Mountain/1 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Eastern

Abstract:
Amazon RDS makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale relational deployments in the cloud. We are excited to introduce PostgreSQL to the family of supported database engines. Now, you can deploy scalable PostgreSQL deployments in minutes, freeing you up to focus on application development instead of time-consuming database administration tasks including backups, software patching, monitoring, scaling and replication. In this webinar, we will provide an overview of Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, discuss popular use cases, and share best practices that will help you fully leverage PostgreSQL in the cloud.
