Thanks, confirmed clean build here.

I see it with

$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/msgfmt
gettext-0.19.8.1-17.el8.x86_64

on RHEL8.  A quick look in the buildfarm finds a few animals of
roughly that vintage also showing the warning, but mostly they're
not (although we have only a small sample, since most animals are
configured not to react to po-file-only updates ... I wonder if
that's such a great idea).

FTR, I found such warnings in builds from

ayu
batfish
broadbill
chameleon
chimaera
elasmobranch
grison
lapwing
massasauga
pytilia
rhinoceros
sidewinder
snakefly
