Ah, sorry about that. Not all functions are prefixed, e.g:
panoramix:/home/jkr/src/pljava-1.3.0# strings /usr/lib/j2sdk1.5-sun/jre/lib/amd64/libzip.so | grep deflate
deflateInit2_
deflateSetDictionary
Java_java_util_zip_Deflater_deflateBytes
deflateParams
deflate
