I'll try to reproduce your problem, but let me ask a couple of
questions:
As changes in Postgresql 9.3 include
"Remove typedefs for int2/int4 as they are better represented
as int16/int32 (Peter Eisentraut)".

Maybe you have some 9.3 header files anywhere in your system?
Did you ever installed 9.3 in that computer?
