Probably that could be done, but again it seems like an awful lot of
work to expend on a build situation that won't be interesting for very
much longer.  (I do realize that Apple might someday resurrect all
this for YA hardware changeover, but surely that's not going to be
anytime soon.  So I think we have more-pressing things to do.)
