Good point. I also see jsonpath_gram.h left behind after maintainer-clean:
$ git status --ignored

(use "git add -f <file>..." to include in what will be committed)
src/backend/utils/adt/jsonpath_gram.c
src/backend/utils/adt/jsonpath_scan.c

Looks like whoever modified src/backend/Makefile's distprep target
didn't bother to read the comment.
