Скажем,- это общая рекомендация,

Случается, что многое нужно инсталить руками, но тут дело в другом,
когда вы осознаете что нужно именно руками и для чего - то вопросов и
не возникает как делать.
Собственно, эти люди в советах и не нуждаются.
А для всего остального - если нет причин не поставить из репозиториев -
не нужно делать вручную!!!
