The first para on the page explains Core Team membership which seems incorrect as they are separate entities. https://www.postgresql.org/about/policies/funds-group/ Shouldn't we do something like the attached? -- Daniel Gustafsson Attachments: [application/octet-stream] fundsgroup.diff (939B, 2-fundsgroup.diff) download | inline diff: diff --git a/templates/pages/about/policies/funds-group.html b/templates/pages/about/policies/funds-group.html index 1b60f1c1..005b4162 100644 --- a/templates/pages/about/policies/funds-group.html +++ b/templates/pages/about/policies/funds-group.html @@ -5,7 +5,7 @@ {%block contents%} <h1>PostgreSQL Funds Group <i class="far fa-money-bill-alt"></i></h1> -<p><em>Last updated: March 1, 2019. {%git_changes_link%}</em></p> +<p><em>Last updated: October 10, 2023. {%git_changes_link%}</em></p> <h2 id="charter">Charter</h2> @@ -14,16 +14,6 @@ project and Software in the Public Interest, Inc. </p> -<h3>Core Team Membership</h3> - -<p> - The <a href="/developer/core/">Core Team</a> of the PostgreSQL project - consists of the people currently listed on the - <a href="/community/contributors/">contributors page</a>. -</p> - -<p>The Core Team appoints its own members.</p> - <h3>Fundraising Group Membership</h3> <p> ^ permalink raw reply [nested|flat] 8+ messages in thread

Right now it implies that the Funds group reports to the Core Team, or that the Core Team has influence on the Funds group, which AFAIK isn't correct. -- Daniel Gustafsson ^ permalink raw reply [nested|flat] 8+ messages in thread

The core team has the power of veto over the Liaison and Deputy Liaison. This page is the charter which describes the relationship between the project and the funds group, so it makes sense (because others within SPI don't know our project) to have all the key details in one place. -- Dave Page pgAdmin: https://www.pgadmin.org PostgreSQL: https://www.postgresql.org EDB: https://www.enterprisedb.com ^ permalink raw reply [nested|flat] 8+ messages in thread

Perhaps it should not actually be listed under "general policies" then, and instead have a separate heading for charters? I think it's the only such page we have, right? //Magnus ^ permalink raw reply [nested|flat] 8+ messages in thread
